A Celebration of Stars
The 2008 Medal Awards

The Medal Award is the highest honor the university bestows, and the accompanying celebration pays tribute to the recipients for their vital roles in enabling UC Irvine to help shape a better future for people in Orange County and beyond.

As the Medal event enters its 24th year, the list of past Medalists continues to swell with extraordinary people who have made remarkable contributions of time, service and support to the campus. To recognize them, on Friday, October 3 we will hold a special new event at the Irvine Barclay Theatre, dubbed “The Parade of Medalists.”

On the following evening, our main event – the 2008 Medal Awards – will be held at UC Irvine’s Bren Events Center, and it promises to be better, bolder and more entertaining than ever before. These two evenings comprise “A Celebration of Stars,” which has come to be known as one of Orange County’s premier gatherings. Sponsored by the University of California, Irvine Foundation, this year’s celebration will raise even more critical funding for our best and brightest students, and we hope you will join us on these memorable evenings!
